Couple resides in Jamestown
Cheryl and Steve Baxter
BAXTER - NICHOLSON 2, Bluevale and Steve Baxter, son
Cheryl Nicholson, daughter of of Gord and Ruth Baxter of
Keith and Carol Nicholson of RR Wingham were united in marriage
on June 10, 1995 at Bluevale
United Church in a lovely summer
wedding with a colour scheme of
navy, dusty rose and white.
The matron of honour was Lee-
Anne Shaw, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Julie Keelan and
Marilyn Zimmerman, friends of the
bride and groom, and Audrey King,
sister of the groom. The flower
girls, who carried white teddy bears
were, Coral and Anna Nicholson,
Amanda, Ashleigh and Alexis
Shaw, nieces of the bride.
The best man was Jeff Layton,
friend of the groom and the ushers
were Steve Keelan, friend of the
bride and groom, and Shawn and
Doug Nicholson, brothers of the
bride. The ring bearer was Greg
Nicholson, brother of the bride.
Craig Fair of Bluevale sang The
Wedding and A Whole New World,
accompanied by Mary Lou
Johnston and Etoile Johnston.
Lisa Henry, friend of the bride
and groom was the master of
ceremonies. The dinner and
reception was held at the Brussels,
Morris and Grey complex where
the colour scheme of navy, dusty
rose and white continued.
After a honeymoon in Northern
Ontario, Cheryl and Steve are now
residing in their new home in
Jamestown.
The July meeting of Burns UCW
was held at the Londesboro United
Church on Wednesday, July 5 with
10 members present.
Gay Salverda opened the meeting
with a reading, "Minutes of Gold".
Hymn 401 was sung, accom-
panied by Beth Knox on the piano.
Gay gave a reading "Through the
Week with God", which was
followed by hymn 405. Readings
were given by Gladys Leiper, Ida
Salverda, Renee Snell and
Margaret Taylor.
Hymns 388 and 376 were sung.
A reading by Gladys Leiper, "It's a
Breeze" was followed by The
Lord's Prayer. This closed the
devotional part. Gay thanked all
who took part.
The business was conducted by
Renee Snell who opened with a
reading. Roll call was answered
with a Bible verse. The minutes of
the last meeting were read. The
treasurer's report was given by
Margaret Taylor. A thank you card
was sent to the Leiper family for
the donation.
Renee Snell closed the meeting
with the Mizpah Benediction.
