Sun shines on Blyth's 1st Country Fest Fun for all ages Matthew and Adam were rooting for rutabagas when Dickie Bird (ie Richard Knechtel) made his appearance in the Memorial Hall courtyard on Saturday, courtesy of the Blyth Optimists. The popular entertainer put on an excellent show, delighting the young and young at heart. The activity was one of several children's events during the Blyth Country Fest on Saturday. Oh, NO! Despite the hot weather on Saturday, Blyth Festival's General Manager Susan Moffat was less than enthusiastic about getting wet in the dunk tank during Blyth's Country Fest. The wave Annamieka Kerkhof was having a great time watching all the fun at Country Fest. Heavy makeup Face painting, sponsored by Blyth Optimists was a favourite of the children at Country Fest on Saturday. Lauren Bouman gets some artwork done by Mary Slotegraf. Perfect for a hot day A slow, easy horse drawn wagon ride was a great way to spend some time in Blyth during Country Fest on Saturday. The team took participants through some countryside at the edge of Blyth before returning to the starting point outside the Legion.
