She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors majoring in Psychology and minoring in Family and Social Relations. Shana Lee has accepted a position working in Europe for the coming year with plans to obtain her Masters in Social Work upon her return. L The news from ondesboro Morris reviews CNR project Compiled by June Fothergill Phone 523-4360 UCW meets at Tea Room On Wednesday, June 7, 11 ladies of Burns UCW met at 1:30 p.m. at Millington's Tea Room in Brucefield. After lunch members returned to Londesboro United Church for their meeting. Hazel Reid opened the meeting with a reading, "What to plant in your garden." Hymn 681 was sung accompanied by Beth Knox on the piano. Readings, "Strawberry Dreams", "Lilac Time" and "Memory Time", were given by Gloria McEwing, Josephine MacGregor and Hazel Reid. Beth Knox read "Button up" which was followed by Hymn 550. Hazel then closed with prayer. The annual Promotion and Awards Sunday of the Sunday School, and Church Picnic was held on June 11 at George Hoggart's pond. All signed cards for Clara Riley and Margaret Taylor. Renee closed the meeting with the Mizpah Benediction. Pie and ice cream were served by Beth Knox and Jean Fox. Neil Warwick attended the May 16 meeting of Morris council to express his concerns about the pro- posed zoning amendment for Lot 31, Conc. 1, to allow the develop- ment of five building lots. Warwick has spoken to OMAFRA with regards to their concern over the proximity of a barn. Chief Building Official Paul Josling says the distance factor is not met under the new MDS formu- la, but does meet the zoning bylaw requirements. It was suggested by Warwick that council try for two lots instead of five. Council authorized the clerk and one council member to meet with a law firm to discuss the rail line The Cranbrook Stagemasters held their sixth meeting on Saturday, June 10. The meeting was opened with the 4-H pledge and then they did some activities. When they had practiced for a while, they began work again on the choreographing of the finale song from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. When this was completed for the day, they talked about further meetings to be used as play practices. After this, they had a snack and the meeting was closed with the motto.
