To cool off after shopping the hot sales in town, the Blyth Festival will sponsor a water dunking barrel at noon followed by the Blyth fire Department's water barrel fights at 2 p.m. The Blyth arena ball diamond will be the site for a fun ball game or homerun contest from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The evening meal of barbecued smoked pork chops with all the trimmings will be available at the arena. With a cost of only $6 for one chop and $8 for two, advance ticket bookings are advised. Closing out a fun-filled day of activities will be the Lions' country dance, featuring Cadillac Ranch, which will run from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to dress in country and western attire for this one day community event.
