Melville Guild met May 15 at the
church. The meeting was in charge
of Joanne King and President Mary
Huether.
Mary opened the meeting with
the Call to Worship, followed by
Hymn 159. The scripture, Proverbs
31 (10-31) was read in unison.
Joanne then led in prayer.
Mary read some Mother's Day
poems and gave a meditation on
mothers and the home.
Following this Joanne took all on
an interesting and educational tour
with her videos and explanation of
her trip to Spain, Gibraltar, and a
part of Africa. This was thoroughly
enjoyed by all.
Hymn 585 was sung, then this
part of the meeting was closed with
the Benediction.
Mary took over for the business
meeting, beginning with a thank
you to Joanne for her wonderful
travelogue. The minutes were read
by Elunid McNair and approved.
Roll call was answered by a
childhood memory of Mother's
Day. The treasurer's report was
given by Jeanne Ireland followed
by the collection.
Final plans were made for the
Maytime Supper, May 31 at the
church and the golden wedding
anniversary for Marg and Cal
