This entertaining trip down memory lane will be held on Saturday, May 13 at the Goderich Township Community Hall, Holmesville. At 2 p.m. that afternoon the Festival Singers will host a Victory Tea, complete with musical entertainment and a sing-a-long to old favourites. In the evening, starting at 7:30 p.m. a cabaret event will light up the community centre - with a buffet dinner, dancing to a live band, and musical presentations from the Blyth Festival Singers and individual performers. Live music will be performed by an area band including vocalist Cathy Whalen, keyboardist Gail Selkirk and bass player Wade Whittaker. When was the last time you heard The Andrews Sisters? Proceeds from the event goes to Crimestoppers, Community Living and United Way. Centre adds Whittaker show "I am pleased to announce, that due to popular demand, The Centre In The Square is adding a second show for Roger Whittaker," Dan Donaldson, Centre General Manager said April 19. The second show is scheduled for Friday, May 19 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $34.50 and $29.50 and go on sale on Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m. There are also tickets available for the Thursday, May 18 performance. Roger Whittaker's concert will showcase songs from recent albums Danny Boy and Other Irish Favourites and his hits from Happy 80th Birthday Laura Strickler From the family Hollywood success, I Will Always Love You...
