was Brussels Bull Brad Beuermann. Making the

town employee who can be fired,
but as long as the job is being done,
I stay," said Anderson. "With the
Social Contract, I am making less
now than I was at the beginning."
"You are self-employed (not a
village employee) as you receive
no benefits from the village. It is
just a policy to tender for the job.
We have no complaints about the
service," said Reeve Bailey.
At the May 1 meeting Anderson
asked councillors if, as a common
courtesy, he could see the ad before
it was published.
"You mentioned Bayfield and
Clinton. There have been problems
there (with their pickup)."
Councillor Rob Lawrie said he
felt that was a reasonable request,
while Councillor Scrimgeour
agreed that it would help council
avoid possible difficulties.

Discussion was held regarding the
wide age range served by The Ark.
Staff reported that program
delivery is age specific. The older
age limit allows for program such
as the Pre-employment Programs
(PEP) and teen parent courses. The
younger groups participate in the
Saturday afternoon program and
the babysitting course.
Commencing in the fall, dances
will be held separately for public
school and high school students.
Two main objectives for this year
will be recruiting more volunteers
and fundraising. The Ark is
