Registrations are almost complete and the baseball and soccer seasons
will soon be underway in our communities.
Given our small staff, we try to do our best to give fair and
comprehensive coverage of the local teams. However, without the help of
parents and coaches this is much more difficult to accomplish.
If we could be given a schedule of the games for each team, we would
do our best to attend at least one of your games to get some action shots.
Also, forms can be picked up at either the Blyth or Brussels office to fill
in the results of your team's efforts, from which we will write a story. Or if
you prefer you can do your own report of the excitement.
We appreciate any assistance or effort you can give us to help publish
your team's accomplishment.

The purchase of a geriatric chair,
and a medication cart, totalling
$4,708, for the first floor nursing
unit were approved by the board.
In noting that the hospital has not
tendered its auditing service for
several years, the board agreed this
would be an appropriate time to
conduct a tender.
