Donna and Stan McClure are

Doug and Marjory Fraser spent a
few days in Windsor last week
visiting their son Clayton and wife
Bev and family, and also with their
daughter Cheryl and Glen and their
new baby, Lucas.
A special meeting of Morris
council was held on March 22 to
discuss the proceedings for War-
wick Drain tribunal, scheduled for
March 28.
The compensation agreement
from the Department of Fisheries
and Oceans, which requested that
the township compensate for the
loss offish habitat by rehabilitating
20 metres of habitat, was reviewed
by council.
Andy McBride of Maitland Engi-
neering Services, recommended the
offer be accepted.
Council discussed where the
compensation work should be done
and considered the fact that the cur-
rent report does not include the fish
habitat reinstatement.
There were questions raised as to
how the report would be amended
and council was told the tribunal
could not be asked to amend the
gross error in the report until the
bylaw had been given final reading.
Council agreed that the cost of
rehabilitating the habitat should be

council agreed to consider a resi-
dence on South Part Lot 5, Conc. 2,
as an accessory to agricultural use.
The application for the minor
variance on the 50 acre property
was considered at the March 21
meeting.
With the opening of gravel ten-
ders, the submission by George
Radford Construction, in the
amount of $61,600, was accepted.
The revised Clinton Fire Area
board budget came before council
with the adjusted figures showing
Hullett Twp.'s share for capital at
$2,274 and operating at $8,720.
Council approved the revised
budget.
The levy, totalling $1,001, from
the Ausable-Bayfield Conservation
Authority will be included in the
municipal budget.
The proposed amendments to the
Scaforth Community Centre agree-
ment was accepted and the clerk
was authorized to prepare a bylaw.
Council granted 550 to the Huron
Karl MacNaughton is now the
owner of a six-year-old trotting
mare named, 'Saffire Grette'. Karl
claimed her at Windsor Raceway
on Friday. Here's hoping she brings
him many wins.
The MacNaughtons also hosted
their annual family gathering this
weekend. Along with Karl's parents
and aunts and uncles the master
fiddler, Mr. Willis Desgardine
(from Dashwood) was there as
well.
Brandy and Tanner Banks spent a
great week in MacGregor, Man.
visiting with their friends. This was
the first time back since moving
from there in 1992.
The next UCW meeting will be
on April 5 at 8 p.m.

ston, to the tribunal.
Mr. McBride will present the let-
ter from the Department of Fish-
eries and Oceans to the tribunal.
A motion was carried which stat-
ed that council agrees to implement
the 20 metres of fish habitat com-
pensation in the Warwick Munici-
pal Drain Improvement Works and
this work will be undertaken on the
downstream open section of the
drain.
Council agreed to meet again on
the morning of March 28 to further
discuss the drain.

R.J. Burnside and Associates
were appointed to prepare -a report
on the improvements required for
the Pollard Drain, Lots 22 and 23,
Conc. 11 and Lot 22, Conc. 12.

on March 26 were Stott and Kelly
McDonald. Rev. Randy Banks
greeted the congregation with some
bad news as he announced the
sudden death that morning of Roy
Williamson. After praying for the
family the service continued with
the Call to Worship. Jo-Ann and
Kelly McDonald read the Lenten
liturgy and Kelly extinguished the
pink candle.
