GRAVEL TENDERS
Sealed Tenders properly marked will be received by the
undersigned until 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 7, 1995.
1. Crush, load and haul 19,500 Metric Tonnes of 5/8 inch
Granular "A" Road Gravel to Township Roads.
Option: Contractor to supply, crush, load and haul 19,500
Metric Tonnes of 5/8 inch Granular "A" Road Gravel to
Township Roads.
2. Crush and stockpile 5,000 cubic yards of 5/8 inch Granular
"A" Gravel in the Westfield Pit.
Items #1 and #2 may be considered as separate tenders and it is
permissible for a contractor to bid on either one or both.
Contractor to supply and set up weigh scales.
Tenders to be submitted on Township Forms obtained at the
Municipal Office.
Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
All tenders subject to the approval of M.T.O.

4-Hers learn about tools
Young curlers
Over the weekend 48 schools were presented at the John Deere Elementary Schools
Provincial Curling Championship. Teams from as far away as Nobel and Carleton Place came
to Elmira for some great curling. Representing Hullett Central in Londesboro were, from left:

death of her husband Ron who
passed away last week.

held at the Community Hall on
Tuesday evening, Feb. 14.
Winners were: high lady, Mildred
Lawlor; low lady, Lois Haggitt;
high man, Harvey Dolmage; low
man was Dennis Penfound; novelty,
Erma Cartwright.
Euchre is played every Tuesday
evening at 8 p.m.

WI discusses
citizenship,
world affairs
The monthly meeting of the
Women's Institute was held Thurs-
day, Feb. 16 at the Community
Hall. There were 15 members
present.
The topic, Citizenship and World
Affairs was under the charge of
Rhonda Bruxer. President Jean
Plaetzer chaired the meeting which
began in the usual manner.
Marjorie McDougall was pianist.
The minutes and correspondence
were read by the secretary, Marion
Haggitt. There are two workshops
coming up that were dealt with.
The WI is to cater to the Lions'
dinner. There is a quilt and craft
show coming up in Fordwich
United Church on March 24.
Heinz labels are to be saved for
the Children's hospital, London.
The card report was given by
Mildred Lawlor.
The roll call "Name an issue that
you are concerned about as a
Canadian Citizen" was answered.
Rhonda Bruxer then took over
and spoke of "Crime". Topics
covered included community
policing, RIDE programs, Block
Parents, watch program, sexual
abuse, drunk drivers and traffic
violations such as going through
stop signs. She said if you need
help your best bet would be
through Crime Stoppers. She
answered many questions on this
issue.
Queen and Grace were sung.
Prizes were given to Betty Archam-
bault, Marion Haggitt and Evelyn
Flctt. The hostesses served a lovely
lunch and a social time enjoyed.

The CHuMS mobility bus fund
noon luncheon and cards at
Londesboro United Church on
Thursday, Feb. 16 was well
attended. Organizers are grateful
for the support. A total of $890 was
raised to be given to CHuMS.
