Dinner guests with Sybil Straker over the holidays were Robert Bonnett of Holyrood and his daughters, Donna, Heather and Julie, as well as Lloyd Bonnett of Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs. Don Peterbaugh of Ripley. Sybil Straker had Christmas dinner with Robert Bonnett of Holyrood and his daughters Donna, Heather and Julie. Boxing Day she travelled to Brampton where she visited with Bev and Jim Thurley. Tuesday she travelled with her cousin Sue Hnatiuk and her husband Al to Etobicoke to visit Mrs. Dorothy Williams. That evening Sybil travelled to Toronto to visit her daughter Gail, returning to Brampton that evening. Wednesday she visited Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Aylestock of Toronto. She returned home Thursday morning. In the afternoon she visited with Agnes and Ron Delbergue of Lucknow and had supper with Lloyd Bonnett of Lucknow. Mrs. Audrey MacKay of Tamarac, Fla. and her sister Mrs. Thelma Pletch visited on Thursday with their uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse. Douglas Bieman and friend Shirley Dodds of Kincardine and George Inglis of RR 1, Belgrave spent Christmas Day with Doug's mother Mrs. Agnes Bieman. On Boxing Day the Bieman families had their Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Bieman and family of Wingham. Those present were from Kincardine, Clinton, RR 2, Lucknow and RR 1, Belgrave. Congratulations to Lewis Stone- house on his 90th birthday, Jan. 2. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Wightman of Fergus spent New Year's weekend with Mrs. Jean Wightman. Visiting at the home of John and Marie McIntosh for the Christmas weekend was their son Mike and his fiancee Sue of Huntsville, their daughter Kim, her husband Bud and their children Janel, Jillian and Robert Jr. of Ohio. Their son Dave and his friend Liz from Tilsonburg, Rob, Brenda and family of Walton, Heather, Janet and Travis and family of Belgrave were all present on Monday for the McIntosh family Christmas which was held at the Belgrave Institute Hall. On Saturday morning, Heather McIntosh, Bud and Kim Breyley, Janel and Jillian, Travis and Janet Koehler, Tamara and Derek were treated to a special time when they visited the farm of Tony and Fran McQuail. They enjoyed a horse drawn wagon ride around the farm and later hot cider and squares. Tony told them of his commitment to organic farming and took the children for a tour of his barn and let them collect eggs from the hens. A great time was enjoyed by all. On Monday, Dec. 26 Cam and Alice Yuill had Christmas at their home in Belgrave. Guests attending included Sandra Nivens of Mitchell, Krista Collinson of Brampton, Wayne Nivens from Goderich, Beatrice and Alec Nivens from Nile, Jim and Sharon, David and Matthew Nivens of Brookside and Wayne and Cheryl Nivens of London. On Christmas day Clarence and Mildred Yuill of Belgrave visited Mildred's sisters Marg Nickel and Edith Stokes of Belmore. On Boxing Day, Clarence Stokes and Clarence and Mildred Yuill of Belgrave spent Monday and Tuesday at the home of Bruce Elliott and family of Arkona. Dr. John R. Lichtenberger from St. Thomas and Gordon Elliott and family of Tavistock visited there as well. The Pletch family Christmas was held on Dec. 27 at the home of Dave and Melanie Pletch and family of RR 1, Belgrave. Attending were Thelma Pletch, Keith Pletch, Kevin, Barb, Michelle and Tania, all of Belgrave, Jeff and Ryan Pletch of Paris, Ont., Kerry Pletch and Scott Tomlinson of Woodstock, Joe, Ruth Ann and Sara Russell of Guelph and Wayne and Joan Pletch of Wingham. Visiting at the home of John and Sandra Dorsch, Amanda and Melinda on Christmas weekend were Shirley Dorsch and John Doucette of Kingston, Warren Wray of Baden, Tom and Shirley Keller, Teresa and Chris of St. Jacobs, Betty Restibo, Sophia, Tino and Charlie of Kitchener, Elgin and Marie Hogg of Wingham and Louisa Schneller of Wingham. Shannon, Lloyd, Anthony and Amber Moyer of Ingersoll visited on Boxing Day at the home of Joel and Juanita Arkell, Justin, Jeremy and Jordan. Also visiting for a week is Juanita's brother Mike Wilkins and his fiancee, Helene Robin from Brownvale, Alta. Mr. and Mrs. Garner Nicholson visited Mr. and Mrs. Rob Nicholson of Listowel for Christmas. Dr. Ray and Mrs. Nicholson and Victoria spent Boxing Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Garner Nicholson. The regular New Year's Eve party was well attended at the Belgrave WI Hall. After games of progressive euchre a dance was enjoyed with the music supplied by Les Shaw. A pot luck meal was served at midnight to welcome in the new year. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith, David and Danny of Sudbury were dinner guests recently at the home of Mrs. Mabel Wheeler. The Taylor family held their Christmas at the Belgrave Arena Complex on Dec. 26. Those in attendance were Jack and Mary of Belgrave, Bob and Peggy Taylor, Kevin, Debbie and Angela of Ripley, Marilyn and Nelson Dusky, Trevor, Sara and Rob Wilson, Leanne and Rob Hoffner all of New Hamburg, Mary Ellen and Jim Keller and Heather, Laurie and Bruno Meyer of RR 1, Belgrave and Sharon MacPherson of Wingham, Mark, Diane and Emily Taylor of Mitchell and Trudy Taylor of London.
