In first place with 45 points was the team of Marg Taylor, Mike Alexander, Donna Bauer and Mike Wall. Second prize with 44 points went to the team Fran Bremner, Steve Bowles, Annette Lewington and Jo-Ann McDonald. In third place with 42 points was Wayne Lowe, Mary TenPas, Heather Blake and Steve Howson. The Ladies Curling also ended the first draw on Dec. 13. Novices tie The Blyth Novice team travelled to Milverton on Tuesday, Dec. 13. It was a close game throughout the three periods and ended in a 2-2 lie. Kirk Stewart netted both goals for Blyth and Neil Salvcrda assisted. Game three: awarded to Brussels when Lions Head refused to play. Game four: the Crusaders lose late sending the championship to one final game. Saturday, Apr. 23, Wingham Arena - Watson clears the front of the net early sending the message. Lions Head opens the scoring but TenPas sets up Higgins to tie. In the second period, TenPas scores, then Cousins on the powerplay, but Lions Head fights back, 3-2 with 20 minutes to go. TenPas scores again but Lions Head rebounds with three minutes remaining. He told the children’s story and lit the candle for "Joy". Away In The Manger and What Child Is This were sung. The choir sang an anthem. The Song of Mary was read in unison followed by the carol How Great Our Joy. Rev. Ross's message was "He Leaped For Joy". He gave the prayer of Thanksgiving and concern and The Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison. The offering was received by Peter Verbeek and Robert Worsell and dedicated in song. The closing carol was Redeeming Love. Rev. Ross pronounced the Benediction and the singing of "amens" concluded the service. There will be a Christmas Day Service at 10 a.m. at the church. Hullett council supported the res­ olution passed by county council regarding the poor election cover­ age on local news stations. Joe Gibson was appointed to sit on the Ausable-Bayfield Conserva­ tion Authority, representing Hullett and McKillop Twps. and Seaforth. R.J. Bumside & Associates was appointed to apportion the assess­ ments for the Pollard Drain. Approval was given for the pay­ ment of the road account, in the amount of $69,867.95 and the gen­ eral accounts, in the sum of $118,650.60.
