Council calls for quotes Hullett council agreed at the Dec. 5 meeting, to host a public meeting on Jan. 17, to discuss the applica­ tion for rezoning of Part Lol, 21, Cone. 11, at 8 p.m. Road Superintendent James Johnston was authorized to adver­ tise the tree tops left from logging Part Lot 13, Cone. 2. Council will call for quotes on the rent of land in the Mailland Block which is owned by the town­ ship. Winners were: high man, Lome Dale; high lady, Elizabeth Lawson. There were eight present. Carl, Lena & Staff Londesboro - 523-4378 WI donates to Homemakers The WI Christmas meeting was held on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the hall. They opened with grace and enjoyed a delicious pot luck dinner. Renee Snell acted as secretary in the absence of Reta Kelland. District President Betty Archambault of Auburn spoke. Roll call was taken up. Members introduced their guests. The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. Correspondence was read from Hullett School thanking the WI for the donation and the Children's Aid Christmas Bureau. A donation of $50 is to be given to the Christmas Bureau. A donation of $25 will be sent to Homemakers. Leita Wiley gave a funny reading on losing her job. Lois Elliott read "Christmas of Long Ago" and "An Old Fashioned Christmas". Lois Elliott's granddaughter sang Here We Go a Carolling and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. Ella Flood played the piano and Christmas carols were sung. Annie Vincent and Renee Snell gave out small gifts for December birthdays and wearing Christmas clothes. Hazel Reid and Leita Wiley will host the card party on Jan. 6. Hoggarts greet at United Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, Dec. 18 were Harvey and Yvonne Hoggart. Invitation to Tender for the Assessment Office Building Renovations - First Floor - Goderich, Ontario General Contractors are invited to submit stipulated sum bids (CCDC2-1982) for interior renovations to the first floor of the Assessment Office Building located at 57 Napier Street, Goderich. The work involves window replacement, life safety upgrades, parti­ tions, interior finishes, and modification to electrical and mechanical systems. A pre-bid meeting at the Assessment Office Building is set for 9:00 a.m. Friday December 23, 1994. Tender documents will be avail­ able at this meeting and at the County Highways Department in the Court House during office hours on December 28, 29, and 30, at cost of $20.00 per set. Make cheques in favour of the County of Huron. General contractors and mechanical and electrical subtrades are strongly advised to attend the pre-bid meeting. There will be no access to the building from 24 December 1994 to 01 [anuary 1995, inclusive, due to holidays. Bids for the work must be accompanied by a bid security deposit in the form of a certified cheque or bid bond in the amount of $5,000. The successful bidder will be required to provide an irrevocable let­ ter of credit or bonds in the amount of $15,000 as performance/labour and materials payment security. Bid close is set for 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 3rd of January 1995 at Highways Department, County of Huron, Court House, Goderich. Work must be completed by 28 February 1995. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders, and will not necessarily accept the lowest bid.
