Laurin Hoegy Grade 2, Brussels P.S. A FAMILY CHRISTMAS By Ashley Gropp Grade 8, Brussels P.S. The little children get up at seven or eight, After they wait for hours, their parents begin to wake. They all grab their stockings on the way down the stairs. Everybody grabs a bite of the breakfast waiting down there. Then the parents glow with pride As they open a present from a child. When it's the children's turn the paper flies, And the air fills with joyous cries Of happy kids, their faces lit, their mouths turned up a bit. Soon all you would hear would be the toys; The drums and the kids make so much noise. When all this was done, they gathered on the street And sang carols to those they meet And as they always say to their friends That this Christmas was the best one yet!
