THE PUPPY THAT
NOBODY WANTED
By Alicia Marshall
Grade 3, Blyth P.S.
Once there was a puppy
lived in a pet store. It was the day
before Christmas and he hadn't
found a home. He waited and
waited and waited.
Finally it was closing time. He
was very sad. He went to sleep.
When he woke up he was under a
Christmas tree with a big bow
around his head. Then a little girl
picked him up and gave him a hug.
He was very happy.

SANTA'S HELPERS GO ON
STRIKE!
By Dane Corneil
Grade 3, Blyth P.S.
One Christmas Eve Santa went to
get the reindeer in the shed. When
he got there something was very
strange, there were no reindeer
there. So he went to get the elves
but the elves weren't in the
workshop either. Then he noticed a
note that said: "We're going on
strike. You work us too hard, and
you don't even pay us!"
"I will have to go and look for
them" said Santa. Santa found them
in the forest they agreed on $35 an
hour. "I guess so" said Santa. "I
don't know what I'll do with you."
THE NIGHT BEFORE
CHRISTMAS
By Korey Machan
Grade 3, Blyth P.S.
It was Dec. 24 and Santa was
ready to go and the reindeers
weren't ready to go. But Prancer
was ready to go and Rudolph was
ready to go.
Santa had to go to town so he
hitched Prancer and Rudolph to the
sleigh to go to town. The reindeer
went.
Santa left the other reindeers.
They were sad that they were left
behind.
SANTA BROKE HIS LEG
By Jenny Taylor
Grade 3, Blyth P.S.
Santa broke his leg. He couldn't
go for Christmas. Bill was waiting
for Santa. Bill was sad. He was
crying.
But, Mrs. Santa came. Bill was
happy now. He got a train. He liked
the train. He was pretending to be a
train. He had fun and his mom
came into the living room. Bill,
what are you doing up. I heard a
noise downstairs. It was Mrs. Santa
flying away. Bill was happy. Bill
hugged mom. I love you mom.
SANTA
Santa rings bells when he brings
toys to our house. Leave some
cookies on the table, don't be
or you won't get any toys
Christmas.
Don't forget to decorate
Christmas tree. Candy canes are on
the table, the elves are working
hard to give you some toys.
I hope Santa has a big list so all
the kids are happy. Angels are
singing, kids are wailing for gifts to
come. Santa's coming so I don't be
bad, better go to bed.
I hear bells ringing.

SANTA CLAUS
Every Christmas, well every
December, elves are hard at work
making toys. For you and me they
are always hammering toys and
painting them. It would be very
hard work.
When Dec. 24 rolls around they
have to package them and then put
a nice pretty ribbon on them then
they put them all in sacks and then
tie them all with string, rope and
ribbons.
Then they carry the sacks to a big
sleigh which is pulled by eight
reindeer named: Dasher, Dancer,
Donner, Blitzen, Comet, Cupid,
Prancer and Vixen. And the driver
of that big red sleigh is a round
plump elf named Santa Claus and
he jumps in that sleigh and yells on
Dasher, on Dancer, etc. etc. and he
flies at super sonic speed to all the
good little children of the world.
And he lands on roof tops and
jumps out of the sleigh and jams
himself down the chimney with his
sack and puts presents under the
tree and candy in the stockings and
then he jams himself back up the
chimney and gets in his sleigh and
then he yells on Dasher, on Dancer,
etc. etc. and he goes off to the next
house.
The end.

SANTA'S ELVES
Santa's elves were very busy
working. Santa's elves never knew
tonight was Christmas Eve and
they only had a few toys and they
would have to work until they had
to help Santa get ready for the trip
and the oldest elf was very sad.
He wouldn't be able to have a
coffee break! By 9 o'clock there
were toys for all the kids. He went
alL over the world and arrived
safely and had a very happy
Christmas.

For Christmas, I would like a
