We made a silhouette of a Christmas symbol and put some tissue in the background for when the light shines through it. It will make it look neat. We have been reading across Canada and we started at Newfoundland and now we are in Barrie, Ont. We would like to get across Canada by Christmas. VOLLEYBALL Grades 6 to 8 have begun intramural volleyball with Mrs. Laurie. There are four teams - the Hurricanes, the Cyclones, the Thunder and the A-Bees. The captains are Trevor Brooks, Nathan Hubbard, Jamie Black and Adam Blair. The teams play every recess. By Steven Empey We have been working on our Christmas concert. We are doing the letters of Christmas and singing a song. We had choir practice too. Our volleyball skills are coming. Students in Grade 8 have been working hard to complete the art for the concert backdrop. Delegates of Grade 8 students have also been painting various store windows in Blyth. We are indebted to the Legion for their generous donation to our school. SCHOOL RENOVATION Construction of a new classroom and storage area has begun at our school.
