48 Wightman relatives gather
Forty-eight relatives of Mrs. Jean
Wightman held an early Christmas
on Sunday, Nov. 6 at the WI Hall,
Belgrave. Those attending came
from Hanover, Pinkerton, BrampĀ
ton, Bolton, Fergus, Lucknow,
Goderich and Belgrave.
Congratulations are extended to
Shawn Galbraith, son of Scott and
Linda Galbraith of Belgrave, for
receiving his yellow belt in Tae
Kwon Do on Friday, Oct. 28 in
Kitchener.
Mabel's Moms met at the home
of Mabel Wheeler on Wednesday,
Nov. 2. Present were Joanne
Robinson, Stephanie and Nicole;
Lila Procter, Ben; Candace Chaffe,
Alice Yuill, Claren; Linda Hess,
Andrew; Julie Van Camp, Jcanine
and Jordan; Andrea Stevenson,
Mathew and Tyler; Annette Te
Raa, Mitchell and Jancllc; Jane
Van Camp, Grayson; Janet Koehler
with Trevor Raynard and helping
Mabel with the children was Cindy
McKee.
Rev. Mary Jane Hobden also
dropped in. Topics discussed were
Halloween and children's toys. All
the moms had a good visit.
The primary wing at East
Wawanosh Public School is
buzzing this week as they get ready
for a Fun Day on Saturday, Nov. 12
having a garage salc/book sale with
special games for the kids at the
school. The money raised will go
towards school trips. Please come
out and join in the fun!
The Belgrave Guiding Units are
sponsoring a Home Sweet Home
craft and bake sale Saturday, Nov.
19 from 9-5 p.m. at the Belgrave
Community Centre, featuring folk
art, wooden crafts, knitting, quilts,
Christmas gift ideas, baking and
more! Also quilt draws and tea
tables.
On Thursday, Nov. 3 the
Belgrave Sparks and Brownies
spent part of their meeting making
Kim Dodds', standing left, Grade 2 class at East Wawanosh Public School completed a
special recycling project as part of the recycling studies program recently. A large bin of their
recycled toys were donated to the pediatrics ward of Wingham and District Hospital.
Accepting the items were Liz Phelan, head pediatric nurse and Bill Woodley, director of
patient care.

PROXY APPLICATIONS
Certificates to vote by proxy may be issued during normal office
hours after nomination day and up to and including polling day.
The Clerk's office will be open 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. on November 5,
1994, for the purpose of issuing certificates to vote by proxy.
The last day for making application to the clerk for a certificate to
vote by proxy is Monday, November 14,1994 at 5:00 P.M.
Eleven tables were in play at the
weekly euchre which was held in
the WI Hall, Belgrave, Wednesday,
Nov. 2.
Winners were: high lady, June
Jacklin; lone hands, Lois Hart; low
lady, Helen Martin; high man, Jim
Coultes; lone hands, Dennis Leddy;
low man, Mabel Wheeler (playing
as a man).
There will be euchre again next
week Nov. 9. Everyone is
welcome.
