position of reeve. He wants to be a
representative to the people and
support the community to the best
of his ability.
Eugene D. Coburn
Eugene Coburn is seeking the
position of reeve. He has previous
ly served one and a half years as a
councillor in Blyth.
He is seeking the position
because the present reeve is retiring
and he would like to continue the
accomplishments in the village, he
said.
"I see the most important issue
for me is to protect all present
employees." He commends the vil
lage clerk. "Over eight years she
has instilled order and control out
of chaos, and brought honesty,
experience, and dedication to her
job," he says.
His personal goal is to spend a
portion of his retirement years
working in the interest of all resi
dents of Blyth.

involvement have led Mason Bai

one and a half years as a councillor.

years, Mr. Bailey has served on
many boards, including the East
Wawanosh School Board, Huron

past 40 years," says Mr. Bailey.

now give something back to our
community by contributing some
normal and fair leadership in main

Incumbent Mary Stretton is
returning to council. She has previ

Mrs. Stretton says she enjoys
working with the public, and wants
to see completion to all projects
that are started.
The most important issues to her
are: keeping taxes to a minimum,
listening to the suggestions of the
citizens, and cutting out unneces
sary spending.
Her personal goal, as a taxpayer,
is to cut back on public spending.
She is a member of Rebekah
Lodge and the BMG Rec. Board.
She has been a health care aide for
12 years and is an OPP contact for
the Village of Brussels.

George Reinink has decided to run
for PUC Commissioner.
The self-employed contractor and
farmer, who has also volunteered
his time over two years as a Beaver

be run more economically, by let
ting the employees do the jobs they
are qualified for."
Mr. Reinink says he would like
to make land development an easier
process by getting questions

the developer.
Fair rules and regulations for all
is another priority, while his per
sonal goal is to keep the public
informed, he said.
