ANDERSON Graeme Anderson passed away at Victoria Hospital, London, on Thursday, July 7, 1994. Mr. Anderson of Wingham and formerly of Belgrave was in his 77th year. He was the beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Anderson. Mr. Anderson was the dear brother of Ross C. Anderson of RR5, Wingham and Bemice Kelly of British Columbia and is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Merle Elliott of Point Clark in 1994. The funeral service was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wing­ ham on July 9 with Rev. Mary Jane Hobden officiating. Interment was at Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Belgrave would be appreciated as expres­ sions of sympathy. ANNIE W. JEWELL Annie Jewell, a resident of The Baeker Centre and formerly of Brussels, passed away at Northern General Hospital, in Toronto, on Monday, July 4, 1994. She was in her 97 th year. She was the loving wife of the late Edgar Jewell (1981) and the loving mother of Eloise (Jerry) Stephenson of Walkerton, Margaret Cooper of Clinton, Edith Samis of Goderich, Ruth McArter of Brus­ sels, Jean King, Marybeth Darling­ ton and Doris Crocker all of Toronto. Mrs. Jewell will be missed by many grandchildren and great­ grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Edith McDougall of Mitchell. CPH elects Michael Falconer, chair of the Clinton Public Hospital Board stepped down after three years, making way for new Chair Marg Makins. The board called for nominations for the officer positions for the 1994/95 year at the June 27 meet­ ing. Harry Lear will be vice-chair and Dick Snell will hold the trea­ surer's job. All positions were acclaimed. As the new chair, Ms Makins outlined her objectives for the upcoming year. They included: Preparing for an adventure Forthcoming Marriage The Auburn Lions Club presented Laurel Campbell, of Auburn, with a cheque July 5, for her trip to Australia as part of the Lions’ exchange program. Sending her on her way are from left: Zone President Steve Campbell, Auburn President Jim Schneider and club member Tony Martens. The funeral service was held at Betts Funeral Home, Brussels Chapel, on July 7 with Rev. Cam McMillan officiating. Interment was at Brussels Ceme­ tery. Pallbearers were Michael Jewell, Gregg Huether, John Cooper, Bill Lowry, Jamie Cooper and Peter McIver. Flower bearers were Scott McIv­ er, Doug Huether and Bill Huether. In remembrance, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. WILFRED H. WALKER Wilfred Humphrey Walker of Belgrave passed away at Victoria Hospital, in London, on Wednes­ day, July 6, 1994. He was bom in East Wawanosh Township 68 years ago and was a life long member of Knox United Church in Belgrave. He farmed in the area for many years. Mr. Walker was married in 1949 to Ruth Johnston who predeceased him on Nov. 21, 1990. He was the dear father of Donald Walker of Exeter, Douglas Walker of Belgrave, Donna Palmer of Wingham, Carol Griffin of London, Allen Walker and Bonnie Walker, both of Belgrave. Mr. Walker was the beloved grandfather of seven grandchildren. He will be missed by brothers Howard, Ernest and Clarence Walker. Don Vair officiated at the service on July 8 at McBurney Funeral Home, in Wingham. Interment was at Brandon Ceme­ tery, Belgrave. Paul Ross conducted the service at Knox United Church, with Nancy Park as organist. Rev. Ross gave the invitation to worship and the chorus Tell Me The Stories of Jesus was sung. The flowers in the sanctuary were from the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gordon. Rev. Ross gave the prayers. This Is My Father's World was sung. Rev. Ross read several scriptures Gordon, Armstrong wed Mrs. Tom Jardin attended the Wingham United Church service on the homecoming weekend. Get well wishes go to Hazel Craig, who had surgery last week. It is hoped she will be home soon. . Alan Jardin and son Eric of Jack and Marilyn and Kim McWhirter, Brussels, daughter of Gloria and the late Elvin McWhirter. The wedding took after which the hymn Let There Be Light was sung. Rev. Ross's message was "A Frightening King Speaks". The offering was received by Greg Park and Bill Seers and dedicated in song and prayer. The closing hymn Will Your Anchor Hold was sung. Rev. Ross pronounced the benediction and the singing of Amens concluded the service. St. Clements spent Tuesday with his aunt and uncle Tom and Ruth Jardin. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gordon (nee) Lori Ann Armstrong who were married on Saturday, July 9 in the Auburn United Church.
