Twelve members answered the roll call by describing what their favourite cookie would look like. After playing a word game they got down to the business of making cookies. Chocolate chip cookies were made from scratch, and from a cookie mix. The prices and taste of three kinds of chocolate chip cookies were compared: readymade, cookie mix and 4-H recipe from scratch. The prices of all three kinds were six or seven cents a cookie but the cookies from scratch were the best. Heather and Amy Douma brought a snack of banana nut bread for all to try. The meeting closed with the 4-H motto. The sixth meeting was held on May 29 at Wilma Rammeloo's. Eleven members answered the roll call. They discussed the various ■ways to decorate a cake and how the members would like a cake decorated. . Guest Lisa Rammcloo showed her cake decorating equipment and members got to practise with the different tips to make shapes. Lisa decorated one cake as a basket with flowers, the other cake was in honour of Canada Day being red and white with a flag. Members then had a great time icing their own cupcakes for their snacks. Their mothers joined them for cake and coffee after the meeting.
