Students give piano recital A piano and voice recital for students of Mary Vair was held June 28 at East Wawanosh Public School. Those singing included Becky Nethery, Heather Rochetta, and Michelle Nixon. The voice students were accompanied by Mrs. Vair on the piano. Mary Jane Hobden on Sunday, July 3. Also joining them for the summer service were the members of the Belgrave Presbyterian church. Rev. Hobden was ordained by the Bay of Quinte Conference in May so she is beginning her ministry in Belgrave. On Sunday morning she called on her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse. Mr. and Mrs. Maitland Edgar of Petrolia spent the holiday weekend visiting relatives and attended the Canada Day Celebrations in Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Taylor, Kevin, Debbie and Angela of Ripley were Sunday visitors with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor. All attended the Memorial Service at Brandon Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davis of Calgary, Alberta visited at the home of his sister and brother-in- law Muriel and Bill Coultes last week. They also visited with nieces and nephews in the area and his other sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Don Stobo of Teeswater. Jim Lamont returned home by plane last Thursday from Vancouver Island after visiting with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Marshall of Myth: Women lie about being sexually assaulted, often because they feel guilty about having sex. Approximately 40 guests came from Mississauga, Kitchener, London, and Goderich to honour Cheryl and Ralph in their upcoming marriage on July 23.
