cut in library services
Morris council will soon be faced
with a difficult decision, to close
Belgrave Library or allow the
county to reduce services.
The Huron County Library Board
presented a strategic plan to council
at the June 21 meeting regarding
the future of Class 3 libraries in the
county.
Council was informed that the
county budget would force the
reduction in services provided if a
motion was not made to close the
facility.
No decision was made.
Several drainage issues were
brought before council with an
appeal received for the Warwick
Drain plan at Lot 15, Cone. 4.
Peter and Hilda Dorsch presented
their appeal, but were denied by
council. The Dorsches were told
they would be responsible for the
cost of $1,060 for repairs.

neering Services informed council
that the Ministry of Natural
Resources had concerns about the
proposed changes to Warwick
Drain.
The plan requires the open drain
to be filled in and the MNR says
the fish habitat may be disturbed.
The township and the landowners
would be liable for any damages to
the habitat if work proceeded as
planned.
Councillor John Duskocy moved
that the township apply to the
Ontario Drainage Tribunal for the
correction of the gross error in the
plan, and request the drain at Lol

Councillors agreed to send letters
