Mackenzie's Tent and Trailer Park
provides a unique service to the weekend
camper, the rental of trailers and canoes.
Located at Kintail on Highway 21, the
campground caters to the family. There is no
group camping and they permit the family
pet.
For those looking for a few more of the
conveniences of home, Gardiner's Motel-
Trailer Park on Highway 21 just south of
Goderich offers 10 motel rooms, five one-
room cabins as well as a campground.
The quiet, relaxing atmosphere and
outdoor pool create a nice place to stay
while visiting the Goderich area.
Heading north through Huron County to
Port Albert, two campgrounds are situated
along the Nine Mile River.
Happy Hollow Campground is located on
Drury Lane in the small village.
Many events are held in the recreation hall
such as bingo, shuffleboard and dances.
The quiet, private sites are surrounded by
trees and just yards from the sandy beach
and fishing in the river.
Across the Nine Mile River is Riverside
Park, set in a quiet, wooded area.
The excellent fishing is just one of the
qualities which draw campers to Riverside
Park year-round.
The northeastern section of the county
offers fewer facilities, but quality and range
of options is great.
Pine Echo Camp furnishes the camper
with a lovely lake, sandy beaches, fishing,
horseshoes and a playground.
For those interested in organized activities,
there is a never-ending selection.
Throughout the season bingo, pot-luck
suppers, dances, kids' crafts, karaoke,
Halloween and Octobcrfest events are
planned.
Even the indoor enthusiast can be satisfied
with the pool table and satellite television.
Pine Echo Camp is located 7.2 kilometres
north of Wroxetcr on Huron County Road 12
in Belmore.
Heading east to the small community of
Lakelet, two fine campgrounds are available.
Ron's Campsite Inc. is situated next to the
village on a picturesque lake, just off County
Road 30, west of Clifford.
A large number of sites are located on the
shoreline for a perfect view of nature.
Horseshoe pits, a playground, fishing and
hall provide other distractions for the
camper.
Driftwood Beach Park is perched high on
a hill overlooking the beautiful inland
Lakelet Lake.
Found six kilometres west of Clifford off
County Road 30, Driftwood offers
something for everyone.
The spring-fed lake supplies excellent
fishing for bass and trout and the natural
setting creates a grand opportunity for
viewing wildlife and unique swamp life.
The town of Wingham offers a camp
ground with all the conveniences of being in
town.
Wingham Riverside Trailer Park is found
at the west end of John Street. Along with
fishing and a pool, a movie theatre, golf
course and trails are within close proximity.
The southern half of the county makes
provisions for campers looking for a wide
variety of activities.
Family Paradise Campground, 10 kilo
meters east of Seaforth on County Road 12,
is a family-oriented park which holds events
such as dances, baseball, horseshoes,
shuffleboard, euchre and the children's hour.
