Family entertainment, focus of area camp
Continued from page 26
This campground, located on Highway 25
between Goderich and Blyth, has a motto
that should draw a family crowd. Brandy's
Hideaway is "a family place to be."
The Wawanosh Valley Conservation Area,
found 10 km northeast of Auburn on County
Road 22 offers canoeing and fishing for the
enthusiast or beginner on the scenic
Maitland River. It boasts quiet campsites and
private picnicking spots as well as group
camping.
Shelter Valley Park on Highway 8 east of
Goderich caters to the angler with rainbow
trout, bass and salmon in the Maitland River.
The family park furnishes sporting
activities for all ages including horseshoes,
shuffleboard and a playground.
Falls Reserve Conservation Area can be
found just six kilometres east of Goderich
off Highway 8.
Located on the Maitland River, the
grounds offer a beautiful natural setting
which provides the perfect surroundings for
swimming, fishing and hiking.
Geared to family campers, Falls Reserve
holds special events throughout the season.
Camp sites are available with water and
hydro hookups and are situated in both
sunny and shady location.
Four parks along Highway 21 offer the
sand and pebble beaches of Lake Huron as
well as specific amenities suited to the
vacationer.
Located closest to Goderich, Point Farms
Provincial Park offers a quiet, wooded area,
perfect for nature trails and private walks.
Other activities available are golfing, movies
and bam dances.
Travelling north just eight kilometres from
Goderich, Lake Huron Resort has a full
range of services.
For the children, there are planned
activities and a playground and for the
swimmer, a choice of both a heated pool and
a private beach.
The Resort also supplies firewood for
campfires, propane, laundry facilities, a
recreation hall and a store.
Kitchigami Campground also offers
hiking, fishing and swimming as well as an
old-fashioned general store.
The campsites are quiet and shaded,
providing a relaxing setting for a warm
