Taste testing
Hillbilly invasion
Bev Blair of Blyth tests some of the goods that competed in
the baking contest at the Blyth Rutabaga Festival on
Saturday. All entries had to have rutabaga as one of the
ingredients. Fellow taste-testers Linda Vir, Bev's daughter
Kristy Blair, and Brenda McDonald look on.
Arabian princess
These hillbillies showed up for the fifth annual Blyth Rutabaga Festival parade on Saturday.

themselves thoroughly.

They’re off!
Despite the small turn out for the Rutabuggy races on Saturday, these youngsters enjoyed
strutting their stuff and trying out their homemade wagons.
