closed with prayer by Erma.
Adeline Campbell read an essay
on "Involvement in the Church"
which was very interesting.
Everyone repeated the UCW
Purpose. Roll call was answered
with "Father". President Bonnie
Councillor Mason Bailey was
reluctant to proceed without having
any cost estimate. "Why is it such
an emergency now?"
Ms Grubb said there is PRIDE
money for lighting in the village.
Councillor Steve Sparling said,
"It seems absolutely inconceivable
to me, whether we do decorative
lighting in the future or now, not to
determine the underground wiring
now. Council also has to acknowl
edge that as we had to be motivated
to take action by a newly formed
BA, we have to consider it. "

Steve Burns of B.M. Ross said
that though he understood the vil
lage couldn't afford a new
$40(1,000 plant and storage facility,
the engineering phase should show
them some ideas which would ben
efit the village but at a lesser cost.
"An upgrade would cost less and it
also would provide an opportunity
to replace some of the old equip
ment presently at the site with grant
dollars. It's worth investigating."
"We see it as a backup. You
would still have to have the rental
arrangement. This would just be
excellent insurance," said Mr. Bell.
Henry Rouw, plant manager, said
that the sludge is presently being
hauled from the plant once a
month. Mr. Bell told council that
while that was adequate in the 70s,
the Ministry of Energy and Envi

storage capacity.
Noting that the best solution was
not fiscally possible for the taxpay

the problems and outline solutions
but we realize in the end it's up the

Reeve Dave Lee said, "We are
