The purpose was repeated in unison. A minute's silence was observed in memory of Hattie Wood, a long­ time member. Brenda opened the meeting with an Easter Reflection. Minutes of the February meeting and World Day of Prayer were read. Dorothy Tamblyn gave the financial report. Thank yous were read from Paul and Ruth Ross and Marion Snell. Helen Lee will send UCW cards for May. The worship service was conducted by Cheryl Trewartha and Yvonne Hoggart. Cheryl opened the service. Yvonne read an article. Members sang, In the Garden. Yvonne reads a story on nature and trees. Cheryl led in prayer and read the story of the Easter Lily. Hymn Take my Life was sung. Helen Lee told about her two- week long Easter trip. It was very interesting. Closing prayer was repeated in unison. Brenda read a poem, Family and Friends The Goodwill bale will go to London on May 10. There will be a lunch and bake sale on May 21. Collection and birthday pennies were taken up. The UCW will have the Church Service on May 15. The organization will buy quilt frames to be left at the church. Lunch was served by Edythe Beacom, Audrey Thompson and Florence Snell. Lifestyle Fair comes to Clinton Arena June 10 People June Fothergill received word of the passing of her cousin, Mrs. Pearl Dietz of Listowel. The sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. Reg Lawson, his daughter Elizabeth and son John and Wendy of London on the passing of their wife and mother the late Helen Lawson. The seniors dance is at Londes­ boro Hall on Friday, April 29. Baptism Sunday set for May 8 Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, April 24 were Gordon and Darlene Shobbrook. The second scripture, John 10: 11-18 was read by Karen Trick. The sermon topic was "The Shepherd Psalm". Flowers at the front of the church were in loving memory of Hattie Wood and Helen Lawson, placed by their families. Baptism Sunday is May 8. The Senior Youth Group will meet for games at 8 p.m. at the home of Darrel Mayberry. They are asked to bring money for pizza. This event stems from the local Senior's Health Fairs, originally held in the past at a variety of locations throughout Huron County. The Clinton location is centrally located to all residents of Huron County and all residents of the County are invited. The theme of the Community Lifestyle Fair is health, wealth and leisure. There will be numerous exhibitors at the fair as well as door prizes, entertainment and refresh­ ments. This event will provide you with many opportunities to become informed about health services, health related organizations, and leisure activities in Huron County. It will provide seniors, care­ givers, people planning their retirement and the physically challenged an opportunity to browse through displays and exhibits and talk to those who provide services, support and products. The event is sponsored by area agencies who work with seniors, physically challenged persons and their families.
