Talent auction upcoming Quite a few people have guessed who the mystery neighbour is and first of all I will tell you who it isn't - Graeme Craig. The clues are...As a kid he attended Duffs United, sang in the choir and Doug Fraser was his Sunday School teacher. He also went to Fanshawe College in London in 68-69. His grandfather and father were custodians of the church and also of the old Walton school. This person spent a lot of time there helping. He enjoys sports and loves the winter if there is lots of snow. Neil and Marie McGavin enjoyed a few days in New Orleans with Ford New Holland dealers from across Canada and the U.S. On March 14-20 while Graeme and Helen and Shannon Craig went down to the States, son Michael got to enjoy himself camping at Shadow Lake center. Deepest sympathies are extended to Barb Durrell and family at the loss of her father, Stanley Preszcator of Forest this past week and also to Marion Godkin and family for the death of her cousin, Morris Hemmingway, and to Gerald Ryan and his family for the death of his father, Lawrence on Sunday, March 27. Don't forget to turn your clock ahead when you go to bed Saturday. The 'For Sale' sign on the Walton Inn took quite a few people by surprise. I talked to Karl MacNaughton, the owner of the inn and he said a body needs a change every five years or so and needs to get on with life and do new things. Right now he is busy getting his horse, Tigers Flash read for the race track. He figures late April the horse should be hitting the tracks. The MacNaughtons also held a family reunion March 25 with 60 people gathering to celebrate at the inn. The big event for the Walton church and community is the Patchwork of Talent Auction April 4. Marie and Neil McGavin, Graeme and Helen Craig and Craig Hackwell have been the organizers and have put a great deal of work into this project. There will be It should be a lot of fun and it is the hope of the organizers that the community will come out and help support the auction. I wish everyone a wonderful and meaningful Easter. A wedding shower for Monique Van Ostaaijen (soon to be Mrs. Don Baan) was held at the home of Dianne Baan, March 25. Monique was able to meet many of her soon- to-be-neighbours.
