Jock Tolmay conducted the service and gave welcome and invitation to worship. "Praise the Lord" was sung, followed by Invocation and Confession in unison. Responsive reading was Psalm 147. Rev. Tolmay had conversation with the children asking them what kind of picture they have of God? God knows what you are like and what you need, he told them. He loves you and cares for you and He will be with you always. The choir's anthem, "God will Take Care of You" was accompanied by music director Phyllis Boak. The congregation sang "How Sweet Thy Name". Rev. Tolmay's message was "God Cares About You" with scripture from Mark 1: 29-39; Isaiah 40: 18-31. God has the power to change things around you, he said. God's love is not to be judged by sinfulness. Nothing we can do can distance us from God. He said picture him as a coach who is always on your side because of his deep commitment to you, to get the best of you. "Minute for Missions" was given by Lenora Davidson.
