Information regarding the proposed amendments will be available on the Huron County website and at public open house workshops. The Official Plan is a land use planning document that is a statement of where and how development should take place. The Plan includes the vision, goals and policy directions for the County, as identified by the community. Three Public Open House Workshops will be held to review the proposed amendments and identify any changes required to the proposed amendments. The Huron County Federation of Agriculture is collecting nominations for the yearly Huron County Agriculture Award for 2019. Please include in the nomination: the name, address and phone number of the nominee, plus a description explaining your reasons for this person’s (or persons’) nominations – eg. the contribution to Huron County’s agricultural or rural life attributed to said person (or persons). The nomination must be signed by the nominator. Nominations can be emailed to ofahuron@tcc.on.ca or they can be mailed to the HCFA office. In attendance were Keith Currie (OFA President), Ethan Wallace (HCFA President) and Brent Royce (OFA Zone Representative). Congratulations to Robinson’s Maple Products Bill and Susanne Robinson have been awarded the Lifetime Achievement award from the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers Association
