Plan is expropriation: writer
Ontario has been misled by Ford says writer
THE EDITOR,
As the days, weeks and months
have dragged wearily on with our
Ontario Conservative government,
I’m certain, we’ve all come to
understand that we’ve been duped,
misled, or worse… and have been
from the very beginning.
What we might have thought
they’d do, in an intelligent,
thoughtful way, they didn’t; what we
didn’t expect or deserve, they did…
but, one wonders why and, for
whom?
I’ve believed that trust meant more
than almost anything, including
signed agreements. Today, that’s
become so much more important
than ever, and moreso from those we
once might’ve trusted implicitly;
those for whom we vote to represent
us. I’ve come to the realization that I
no longer trust these folks to do the
right thing, or even tell the truth, for
us, for Ontario, and more
importantly, our country.
Trust… in a person, a system, a
government, a political party, is very
delicate, and once lost, extremely
difficult to regain. And so it is, in my
opinion, at least, with this Ontario
government, and with our own, now-
demoted, cabinet minister.
To say I’m disappointed would
be a gross understatement. As a
voter, I’m disappointed, distressed,
fed up and quite frankly feeling
cheated. As an Ontarian, I feel
betrayed. As a Canadian, I
am appalled at what this very poor
copy of American-influenced
Conservatism has evolved into. I’m
not the only one.
It seems that every publicly-
challenged Ontario’s Conservative
legislative initiative, when fully
vetted (or exposed) by those other
than in this government, has either
been walked back, or simply met
with even more misinformation; in
several cases, their ‘authors’
demoted, or resigned. I’m tired of
the cronyism, the nepotism, the quid
pro quo, the scandals.
I won’t bother repeating what’s
already been shared in The Citizen,
June 27 edition: “Thompson out as
Ontario’s Minister of Education”
and “L.T. MoE 2018-2019”, or the
July 4 edition: “Friends like these” I
will say this, however. After reading
a recent Globe and Mail exposé of
Ford government documents, he and
the cabinet, deliberately, and
knowingly spread misinformation
about the autism funding program;
or The Star’s account of the
extremely lucrative taxpayer-funded
payouts to those “advisors” who’ve
recently been forced to leave the
Ford government; or the $34.5
million subsidy to Maple Leaf Foods
for consolidating ‘3 into 1’
southwestern Ontario chicken
processing plants, all while a
client of the Ford family’s
Deco Labels and Tags company.
Enough!
With all these shenanigans going
on, I’ve wondered whether there
were Canadian-style articles of
impeachment, or what it might
take for a parliamentary
nonconference vote to occur. I’d
read, that apparently it would, in this
majority-controlled Conservative
government, take just 12
Conservative MPPs standing up,
stepping up, for the people of
Ontario who elected them – only 12
Conservative MPPs forming a
coalition with other MPPs to get rid
of this millstone-bully of a Premier,
and what he is doing, while they’ve
sat/stood idly by.
It’s been said, that if we don’t
stand for something, we fall for
anything… sounds a lot like what’s
been going on.

THE EDITOR,
A recently-published piece about
the Huron Natural Heritage Plan was
subsequently declared by the writer
to be “inaccurate”, a severe
understatement. Far more than
merely inaccurate, the headline was
incorrect, the content misleading.
Many readers, including members
of county council, were perturbed to
be told by a local paper that the
Huron County Planning
Department’s “Huron Natural
Heritage Plan” was approved (as the
headline wrongly reported), when in
fact, the council only voted to
receive an update on the plan. The
attempted “clarification” did nothing
to correct the misleading
information included in the article.
The reader is still incorrectly led
to believe that passing the Huron
Natural Heritage Plan is simply a
matter of bringing the amended
version back to council for their
rubber-stamped approval. County
council would be, and is, fully
justified in their resentment of being
portrayed as puppets who move at
the direction of the planning
department, when in fact their job is
to know and understand what’s
behind the planning department’s
aggressive promotion of their plan.
What few seem to understand is
that the plan behind the Huron
Natural Heritage Plan is to assert
complete public (government)
control over all lands, private and
public. Private property owners will
still be responsible for all the costs
of their land, but the county will
increasingly tell them what they are
“permitted” to do with their land,
based on the varying “designations”
they mapped on private property.
This, of course, is all deemed to be
for the public good, with no
compensation to the property owner
for their inconvenience and loss of
control. This insidious tactic has
been termed by the courts as
“constructive expropriation”.
This unwelcome attempt at public
control of private property can be
easily traced back through the
Provincial Policy Statement, which
in turn is largely dictated by several
United Nations documents and
agendas. All of these can be found
and read online by searching for
“U.N. Habitat l” and “ll”, or “U.N.
Agenda 21”.
It seems beyond strange that
Huron County, which is statistically
one of the highest income areas in
Canada, would be taking directions
on how to run its affairs from U.N.
directives formulated with the help
of some third-world dictators who
cannot even bring their own
countries into the modern age.
Who is in charge of the decision-
making process here – the globalists
who want to bleed out our wealth for
their benefit, or those whom we elect
to represent and protect our
interests? Will Huron County
Council stand up against this
underhanded effort at collectivizing
our lands and protect our true,
Canadian heritage based on private
property rights? Hopefully, they will
disregard the disinformation stream
that has been presented as fact.
