The family of Gwen Bernard Doherty would like to thank everyone for the condolences, prayers, cards, food, flowers and visits received by our family at the time of her passing. She will be greatly missed. Also for donations for improvements to Petrie Park. Special “thank you” to the community of Port Albert and Kingsbridge Community Centre for the help in planning her memorial service. Thanks to the members of the pipe bands in the area that piped down the sun that evening and buglers who played “The Last Post”. Some members travelled quite a distance to attend. The parade to the beach was an awesome sight and sound. Thanks to the Port Albert Pub who put up a delicious late afternoon meal, and thanks to those who made the lunch refreshments in the Petrie Park. And of course, a huge thanks to the ones who took part in the service itself: Jackie Simpson, The Kingsbridge Choir, Corey Stewart, Harvey Kikkert, the Kikkert brothers, Keri-Lyn Smith and the tributes given by Paul Doherty, Kate, Amber, Emma, Ashley and Paige. Last, but not least the messages from the Hooligans (Gwen’s grand- children). –Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered, the Doherty and Bernard families. 27-1 -------------------------------------------- HUNKING.
