We hope everyone enjoyed a
lovely Mother’s Day with family
with mom sitting back and letting
everyone else spoil her for the day,
which must have been very
enjoyable.
Another week has gone by and
still not much has happened in the
way of working the land and
planting. A few fields have been
worked, manure has been spread,
more corn stalks baled, fertilizer put
on wheat, fields sprayed, in the few
good days that we had.
Signs of spring include the arrival
of baby geese. Lines of laundry are
blowing in the breeze, bicyclists are
on the road and you can hear the roar
of motorcycle enthusiasts who are
out on the bikes.
We are glad to hear that Stew
Steiss is home from hospital and
feeling better. We are happy to hear
that Leslie Knight has finally had his
surgery after waiting for over six
months. He was recovering in
Listowel hospital but is home now.
Our condolences to the Ten Pas
families on the loss of Klaas
DeVries, husband of Teresa Ten Pas
DeVries. He will be missed by their
children Jeff, Jackie, and James and
their families. He will also be missed
by Ben and Chris Ten Pas, Agnes
Ten Pas, Dianne and Reid Hackwell
and Mary and Henry VanBarneveld.
Celebrating birthdays this past
week include Scott Baan, Brandon
