Introduce Yourself to Hundreds of Local Customers Here’s my CARD McInroys enjoy cruise trip despite illness, injury Continued from page 13 sprained his ankle and was laid up in his room for a while and then at the end of the trip, again suffered with a viral infection. They started out in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and spent four days at sea learning of the many amenities of the ship. They made stops at Curaçao, Bonaire, Aruba during the first week. They would sail at night and then make daily stops, including Trinidad, Tobago, St. Vincent, Barbados and Devil’s Island by the end of week two. They started week three by crossing the equator and it was hot. They spent the week making stops at five different ports around Brazil. Starting the fourth week, they had to make a change and not stop at Victoria, Brazil, because of the water levels and the hazard of going under the bridge. They went onto Buzios instead and Sao Sebastiao Island. They spent the rest of week four for three days at Rio de Janeiro enjoying a fantastic Carnival and Mardi Gras, Brazil style! Week five was mostly spent at sea with only one stop at Fortaleza, Brazil. With so many great amenities on the ship, such as movies, dance classes, music, line dancing and more, time flies by. They crossed the equator heading north this time to begin week six and made stops at Santarem, Boca de Valeria and Manaus for two days. St. Patrick’s Day was spent at Parintins, Brazil and then on to Alter de Chao. Week seven started with an amazing cruise up the Amazon River, which was a highlight of the trip. They made a couple more stops at St. Lucia and St. Maarten as they headed back to Florida. It was a wonderful trip with lots of nightly shows of comedians, variety shows, vocalists, a Beatles celebration, an Abba tribute show and so much more. It was a great trip for them and we hope Rick is soon feeling better. Our condolences to Chris and Janice (née Jacklin) and Scott and Colleen (née McCallum) on the loss of father Bev Bromley. He will be missed by his wife Linda and grandchildren and his large extended family. Our sympathies to all. Returning from a holiday to Roma, Dominican Republic are Brad and Christine Knight. They were joined by friends from Mitchell area and a good time by all was reported. A familiar face may have been seen around the area by some as Art Glanville and son Kyle made the trip home from Saskatchewan. They are heading back by midweek. They enjoyed a Glanville family dinner at the home of Richard and Marjorie Horst on the weekend. Paul and Cheryl Ryan have returned from a month-long holiday to Arizona. They were accompanied by friends Ken and Leeann. They stayed near Phoenix and toured the area on their motorcycles. There has been more water this year and not as hot, so the landscape was very different from other years – green and flowers, very nice. They rented side-by-sides and went into the back country hills trail riding and it was great. They also went into California and to the California coast to see the wintering area of the monarch butterflies. There were millions of them and they witnessed the fact you could hardly tell there was a tree under them and that windshield wipers could hardly remove them from the windshields. It was a fantastic thing to witness. During their time away, they met up with two other couples they have known and spent time with them near Scottsdale. A great trip and a great time but always nice to be home. Congratulations to Jessica Small and Andrew Windsor of Hullett- McKillop Road on the birth of a son, Kellam. Congratulations to all.
