The next addition of The Citizen
comes out in the first week of
January. So to report what went on
at the Christmas eve service would
be old news, therefore I'll report on
it now.
The Christmas Eve service is
Dec. 24 at 7:30 and you'll hear both
the Junior and Senior choirs sing
their Christmas anthems. You'll
witness the drama called 'The Birth
of Love and Hope in a Manger'.
There you will meet Gabriel (Craig
Hackwell) and Mary (Colleen
McCallum). Joseph (Chad
McCallum) and Zechariah (John
Uyl), along with Elizabeth (Tama
Smith) will be there too. The
shepherds (Geoff Banks and Tadd
Smith) will be there and narrator
and Luke (Rev. Banks) has a big
scene also.
You'll enjoy singing many of the
old Christmas hymns and hear
various scripture readings.
On Dec. 26 you will hear Rev.
Banks deliver his Christmas
sermon. The Senior choir as well as
the Godkin sisters will sing.
The Story of a
Christmas Child
By Katherine Edelman
First heard above a lonely hill,
By humble shepherd men -
Repeated down the centuries
again — and yet again —
The story of the Christmas child
Remains as near, as bright,
As filled with love and hope for all
As on that hallowed night.

Rev. Banks had this to say, "May
we celebrate the Saviors' love by
sharing it with others. May his
peace and joy be yours in every
season."
Bill Blake, noted how lucky we
are in Walton and that all of us
should count our blessings.
My Christmas wish is that no one
will have to celebrate this
Christmas alone.
Merry Christmas everyone.
