Brick Wall
The fourth meeting of the
Brussels II Creative Hands was
held Nov. 5. It started at the Brick
Wall in Blyth, where owner, Lynn
Bannerman, displayed some of her
supplies. Members got to pick out
an item of their choice. Some
chose a ceramic figure and some
chose to make a floral arrangement.
Lynn then showed how to paint
ceramics and guided them through
the steps. While They painted she
helped the others with their
flowers.
At 8:15, they went to leader
Wilma's house to finish the
meeting. Eleven members
answered the roll call. The regular
business was dealt with then they
started some of meeting five, to
plan a Christmas party and the
Achievement Program for Nov. 23
in Clinton.
The meeting was closed with the
4-H motto at 9:30.
The last half of meeting five as
well as meeting six were held at the
home of Mary Sanders on Friday,
Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. It was the
Christmas Party.
The roll call "What is your idea
of sharing the Christmas spirit"
was answered by 11 members and
their guests. Preparations began for
the achievement program. They
made crafts to use for the exhibit
and other fun crafts for the party.
Guests made crafts with them.
They made candy cane reindeer
and decorated name tag cookies.
Everyone shared the cookies that
were brought as well as the spiced
apple cider.
A good start
Peter Nonkes received his award as Top Novice Member
