Santa Claus came to town Saturday • All steamed up Saturday's cool, damp weather didn't mean much to these guys. From left to right: John Harrison, TIm Harrison, Robbie McKercher and Jim Armstrong, were all heated up about riding in the Brussels Lions Santa Claus parade entry. Eagerly waiting Dreary, wet weather didn't keep youngsters from coming out for a glimpse of Santa on Saturday. The jolly elf was the star attraction at the end of the annual parade. Lookers The sights and sounds of the Riding by Santa Claus Parade enchant youngsters each year. These three youngsters wave to their friends along the Santa Claus parade route in Brussels. The three were on the Brussels Public School float with Principal Dave Kemp. Thanks, Santa! Thomas Baker gets a chance to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus following Saturday's parade. Old St. Nick stopped at the former CIBC building after the parade to hand out bags of goodies to the children. The members were garbed in new costumes purchased in part by grants of $500 and $200 from the Brussels Lions and Optimists respectively. Several local girls are members, including Leslie Elliott, in background, third from left and Erin Mitchell, fourth from left.
