Local man marries McARTER - HOLTZMANN The Exeter United Church was the setting for a pretty summer wedding on Aug. 21, 1993 when Heather Dianne, daughter of Howard and Doreene Holtzmann, Exeter, Ont. was united in marriage with Kevin Allan, son of Mel and Lois McArter of Brussels. Rev. John Hilborn officiated at the double ring ceremony. Organist Ralph Topp accompanied the soloist Julie Godbolt who sang "I Can't Help Falling In Love" before the ceremony and "All I Ask Of You" during the signing of the register. The bride's attendants were matron of honour Susan Mann, friend of the bride, and bridesmaids Colleen Bedard, friend of the bride, Rhonda McArter, sister-in-law of the groom and Kelly Holtzmann, sister-in-law of the bride. The flower girl was Kelsey Holtzmann, niece of the bride. Best man was Don Sholdice of Brussels, friend of the groom. The ushers were Brian McArter, brother of the groom, Gary Pipe, friend of the groom, and Dave Holtzmann, brother of the bride. The ring bearer was Justin Buchanan friend of the bride and groom. Following the wedding, friends were received at the reception in the South Huron Community Complex. After honeymooning in Orlando, Florida and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Kevin and Heather now reside at 310 Senior St., Exeter, Ontario. Newlyweds live ZWEP-HUNT The marriage of Sandra Carol Hunt and Jerry Andrew Zwep was solemnized on Saturday, Nov. 20, 1993 at Northside United Church in Seaforth. Rev. Bruce C ok officiat- ed. Sandra is the daughter of Francis and Carol Hunt of RR 4 Walton and Jerry is the son of Aafke and the late Jacob Zwep of Brussels. The bride was attended by maid of honour, Marion Hunt of Egmondville; matron of honour, Mary Cardno of Leamington and bridesmaid Betty Anne Marlow of London. Joe Dorssers of Seaforth acted as the best man with George Zwep of RR 2 Brussels, Harry Zwep of Ancaster, Bruce Godkin of RR 4 Walton, and Dave Souch of Seaforth as the groomsmen. Organist was Margaret Whitmore of RR 4 Walton and the duet of Lisa and Lori Strong of London sang "Forever I Do" and "There is Love". Readers were Annette Lewington of RR 2 Brussels and Atje Tuyten of Stafford. 0 bituaries LLOYD ALVIN ARMSTRONG Following a lengthy illness, Lloyd Alvin Armstrong of RR 4 Brussels passed away in the arms of his loving wife on Thursday, Network plans open house The November meeting of the Huron County HIV/AIDS Network was held on Nov. 2 at Huronview. On Dec. 1, World Aids Day, the Huron County HIV/AIDS Network will be holding an open house at their office at 15A Rattenbury Street East in Clinton. The public is invited to attend and view these winning art pieces and enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut on Dec. 1 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. During the open house, awards will be given to selected students who recently participated in a poster/logo contest for the Network. Members are pleased that people are starting to take advantage of the phone line. There is someone available to take calls every Thursday evening from 7 - 9 p.m. and an answering machine at any other time. Calls will be returned as soon as possible. near Brussels Candles were lit by Chris Cardno of Leamington and Jane Zwep of RR 2 Brussels. A reception was held at the Seaforth District Community Cen- tre. The couple is residing at RR 2 Brussels. November 18, 1993 at his resi- dence. He was in his 70th year. He was the beloved husband of Doris Newman and the dear brother of Mae Bottrell of London. Mr. Armstrong was the loving uncle of Sandra, Marie and Glenn and the loved nephew of Mrs. Rosella Rooney of Blyth. He was predeceased by his par- ents Pearl Armstrong (1983) and Alvin Armstrong (1979). Rev. Cam McMillan officiated at the service held at Betts Funeral Home in Brussels. Mr. Bruce Nuhn gave the eulogy. Interment was at Brandon Ceme- tery in Belgrave.
