Eighteen-year-old Keith Todd was the Champion Senior Exhibitor at the Royal Junior Sheep Show and also exhibited the Grand Champion Lamb of the Jr. Show. Daughter Jenean, 16 was the Reserve Champion Intermediate Exhibitor. The younger Todds are the fourth eneration of Ro al corn titors. The annual meeting of the Huron Pioneer Threshers and Hobby Association took place on Nov. 28 at Blyth Memorial Hall. President Ray Hallahan opened the meeting with 0' Canada. A moment of silence was observed for our members who passed away in the last year. A meeting of all steam engine owners and boiler operators will beheld in Blyth on Dec. 11. Every- one from Ontario will attend. The retiring directors are Presi- dent Ray Hallahan, Gordon Rad- ford, Mike Philips and Jack Van Egmond. The new executive will consist of president, Jeff Thomson; first vice, Loreldo Farms, RRI, Belgrave, owned by Eldon and Lorraine Cook, also did well. Four heifers were shown this year and their junior yearling, Loreldo W.S. Fayes Heidi, took the Junior Champ. The senior yearling placed fourth and two calves came seventh and eighth out of 104 head shown. Heidi was a 4-H project of daughter Carla, who exhibited her at the Royal as well as at the Teeswater and Kincardine fall fairs Mike Andrews; second vice, Gary Courtney; three-year directors; Bruce Thomson, Jim Sloan and Gordon Gross and one-year direc- tor Jean Fox. The trophy winners at the 1993 reunion were: -Wayne Houston Trophy, best show engine, Bob Houston, 1923 Waterloo model, 25-27 -Featured Tractor, Lional Wilder from Zurich, a U-Minneapolis Molene -John Hallahan Memorial Tro- phy, belt setting, Harley and Mike Searson -Jack Arthur Trophy, prior to 1930 gas tractor, Wilfred Pentland of Dungannon, McCormick Deer- where she also won Junior Champ. John Armstrong, of RR2, Auburn was sixth in his jersey calf class, the Hays Scotia Classic. A Belgrave-area youth Tim Coultes was part of an intercolle- giate livestock team frofn Ridgetown College which earned a trophy, $400 and a plaque for its first place win out of 14 teams. The date was set for Sept. 9 to 11, 1994. Jennifer Procter, 21, RR5, Brus- sels showed the Champion Single Market Hog as well as getting fourth for the Group of Two. Her sister Kate, 24, exhibited the Reserve Champion Carcass Market Hog. She also earned top marks for the Group of Three and won the Premier Exhibitor Award. Leroy and Lila Rintoul of Lee View Farms, RR2, Lucknow came home with the award for Champion Charolais Steer in the Open Market Livestock Steer class. Their daugh- ter Debbie, 22, in her last year of 4- H had the Champion Heifer in the Market Heifer Queens Guineas. This was the first year for this class. Lee View Farms also had the foui-th place market lamb and earned fifth for the Group of Three. In the Carcass Class their heifer placed sixth out of 80. Jerran Farm, RR1, Blyth owned by the Campshroer family finished 10th in the Group of Three Open Market Hog Class. Son Kevin exhibited in the Junior Barrow Show.
