BAECHLER. (Russell-Kelly). It
was my pleasure and joy to greet so
many family members, friends and
neighbours at my 80th birthday
Open House. I wish to extend my
heartfelt thanks to St. Peter's
Church family for the lovely
celebration of the Mass, the
thoughtfulness, generosity and best
wishes of the clergy and
parishioners and for the use of the
church hall. Your loving spirit
touched me deeply. I was
overwhelmed by the long distance
calls received; by those guests who
travelled from far and wide; by the
many beautiful flowers, cards and
gifts. My gratitude for the
assistance and support in putting
everything in order - helping to
dress "the nurse" (complete with
baby corsage) - and to those
charming young ladies who served
the baby and card cakes. Special
thanks to the people who worked
and played with me in my life,
especially during my nursing years
at St. Joseph's Hospital. I received
a scholarship in Obstetrics in my
name from the doctors, an honour I
will always treasure. Thank you
one and all. I cherish the happy
memories that we have shared in
nursing and in new and old
friendships. My deepest love and
friendship - Margaret. 48-1
