THE GRAND PRIZE
WINNER

Radford's grade two/three class,
entered a paper mache contest
sponsored by the Toronto Sun.
Maegan designed a dinosaur
creature and was the proud winner
of $50. Maegan said, "I've been

Congratulations Maegan!
NEW STUDENT
We have a new student in Mrs.
Radford's grade two/three class.
Daryl Meriam Overboe moved to
Hullett Central from Tecumseh
School in London. We welcome
began saying that because his quest
to find out whether Halloween was
to be Saturday or Sunday was so
time consuming he didn't get a
chance to buy his Barney-the-
Dinosaur costume. He stated how
much fun it is to be able to hide our
identities behind masks, but then
pointed out the other, very real
masks we put on to hide our pain,
despair, sadness, anger and even
happiness.
In Matthew's Gospel the mask
wearers were the Scribes and
Pharisees. They knew all the
religious laws and their teachings
were sound but their energies were
spent making sure people noticed
them in public. They hid behind
their colourful robes and
professional stature. Jesus advised
"Do whatever they teach you and
follow it but don't do as they do".
"Let us take off our masks and be
who God made us to be, for He
sees through all masks and loves
us.
