club hosts
antique show
An estimated 2,000 are expected
to attend the second annual Rotary
Club Antique Show and Sale at the
historic Oakwood Inn, Grand Bend
on the weekend of Oct. 22, 23 and
24.
Convenor of the event is Dorothy
Peat.
The varied items will be on dis-
play in the new conference hall at
the bin.
Tickets are available for the wine
and cheese reception to be held on
Friday by calling 238-8437. The
sale continues from 10 a.m. Satur-
day to 6 p.m. and from 10 to 5 on
Sunday. Admission price is $3.
Proceeds from the show arc
directed to various community pro-
jects.

Organizers say
OSAID car wash
a success
The Ontario Students Against
Impaired Driving (OSAID) of F. E.
Madill had a car wash Saturday,
Sept. 25 at Zehrs in Wingham.
Fund raising helps to support
speakers at the school and OSAID's
Christmas float. The turn out was
good; over $260 was made.

ALLAN ADAMS
A former Wroxpter resident,
Allan Adams, now of Durham,
passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 1993 at
Bruce General Hospital, Walkerton
in his 74th year.
Mr. Adams will be lovingly
remembered by his wife the former
Edith Blake. He was the beloved
father of Betty and Richard Penner,
Kathy Adams and Jim Griffith,
Fern and Dave McCannell, Kelly
Adams, Kelvin Adams and Lori
Hopf. Two brothers, Dewitt and
Gordon and a sister Edith Noble
survive him, while nine grandchil-
dren and four great-grandchildren
are also left to mourn his passing.
Mr. Adams was predeceased by a
daughter Bonnie Lockwood in
1990, a son Glenn in 1971 and two
brothers Jim and Harry.
Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiated at
the 2 p.m. funeral services on Mon-
day, Oct. 11 at Betts Visitation
Centre, Gorrie. Pallbearers were
Steve Penner, Jim Dunbar, Paul
Statia, Wes Paulin, Darren Penner
and Clayton Newton. Carrying flo-
ral tributes were Melanie Penner,
Stephen Millinger, Leah McCan-
nell, Scott Millinger, Mark McCan-
nell and Brad Millinger.
Interment was at Wroxeter
Cemetery.
