The catering staff of BMG com-
munity centre has a new assistant.
Councillor Wayne Riley advised
council at its Oct. 5 meeting that
the new dishwasher should arrive
by Oct. 15.
The fundraising campaign has
raised $21,000 to date and the ice
surfacing machine has been
ordered, he says.
Council received information
concerning pay equity. Municipali-
ties must now act under the Proxy
Method.
If a female employee did not
have someone to be compared with
under the previous method, a male
in the same job sector must now be
used for comparison.
This pay equity method must be
in place by Jan. 1.

The board of directors and staff
of the Wingham and Area Seniors
Day Centre have been involved in
developing a strategic plan with the
assistance of Mary Shamley, a
consultant from London. The
process for developing the plan
began last January and will be
completed by December.
The public including consumers,
caregivers, volunteers, interested
citizens and other service providers

scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 20,

Henny Uyl, a member of the
board of directors, says she hopes
there are a lot of people at the
meeting. "We need input from as
many as possible, so that we can
develop the best possible plan," she
said.
The Draft Plan includes the
vision for a centre where indivi-
