HEALTH ON THE HILL
A review of activities at
SEAFORTH COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
Upcoming Programs:
DIABETES EDUCATION CLASSES;
Education is an Important component of the management of
Diabetes Mellitus. Presently, diabetes cannot be cured but, it
can be controlled. Consequently, people who have diabetes
must be taught how to control or manage their condition twenty-
four hours a day, usually under a variety of circumstances.
Successful management Is often virtually impossible unless
there is sufficient education and follow-up.
Seaforth Hospital offers a diabetes education program twice a
year, with its objective to teach clients about self-management.
All diabetics are encouraged by their physicians to attend
Diabetic Education Classes, both after diagnosis and
periodically as needed, to receive ongoing assessment,
evaluation and the latest developments in diabetes care. Join
us for the Fall 1993 class.
