President Lois Elliott read poem, "The world we make", Roll call was answered by "Characteristics of another Country". Minutes of August and September meetings were read and approved. Correspondence was read from Children's Hospital, London. There Branch, Wingham for 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Anglican Church. A card was signed for Dora Shobbrook. A blood donor clinic is to be held Nov. 18 in Clinton. Reta Kelland gave the financial report. Business was conducted. WI cards will be at 8 p.m. on Nov. 12, Nov. 26 and Dec. 10. Members are to bring items for Day Centre Bazaar to the November meeting. Leita Wiley gave a report of the Fall Rally held spoke on the associated Country Women of the World. Grace was sung. Lunch was served by Renee Snell, Hazel Reid and Leita Wiley. People Mrs. Florence Cartwright spent Thanksgiving weekend with relatives in northern Ontario. There is a seniors dance at the hall Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. Fall fundraising projects tor the Londesboro Lions started on Oct. 3 with over 200 people enjoying an Old Tyme Country Breakfast at Londesboro Hall. The Londesboro Business Association and the Londesboro Lions will be hosting a Children's (all ages) Halloween Party on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. in Londesboro Hall. Costumes will be judged, as well as Hullett School Poster Contest "Safety While Trick or Treating". The Men's Euchre Tournament will be held on Nov. 19 and tickets are available from any Lions Wrights greet at Duff's United Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, Oct. 17 were Dennis and Margaret Wright. Ushers were Jack Lee and Bert Lyon. The sermon topic was "Requesting the honour of your presence." Guest speaker was Elly Van Bergen of Exeter and guest organist was Andrea Postma. In the announcements it was mentioned that Tuesday afternoon Bible Study is at the home of Don and Lois Haines of Auburn. There will be no service next Sunday as it is Anniversary Service at Knox United Church, Auburn. Londes- boro Anniversary will be held on Sunday, Nov. 14. Rev. Banks asked the children if they knew what taxes were. Most had heard of the GST. He explained that they had taxes in Jesus' day, too. He showed them a looney and asked what images were on it. Students enjoy Fall colours By Shaelyn Ward and Jay Cochrane We are collecting leaves and are going to be laminating them. We are going to a Halloween party on Oct. 29. We are making apple head witches next week. We had pay day and it is fun. GRADE TWO NEWS Some students have read about the leaves. Some have read about birds and others have painted Fall pictures. Make sure you take time to enjoy the Fall in all its many colours. Next week students will be writing return letters to their penpals at Hullett Central School in Londesboro. Good Luck is wished for Oct. 20 as some students head for a cross-country run in Londesboro. People Happy Birthday to Shannon Davies on Oct. 24.
