Recyclable materials will be accepted as follows: 1) NEWSPAPER: Newsprint and flyers that are made out of newsprint. Please bundle or place In boxes or bags. Elg magazines, catalogues, telephone books, glossy flyers, envelopes, fine paper, etc. 2) GLASS: Household bottles and jars, preferably without the lids and preferably colour sorted into clear glass and coloured class. Must be rinsed or washed and the labels may be left on. Ns window panes, light bulbs, china, ceramics, etc. Glass must also be in a recognizable form. i.e. not crushed. 3) METAL CANS: Food cans must be rinsed out, pop cans are acceptable as is. Please flatten as much as possible. 4) PLASTIC SOFT DRINK CONTAINERS: Remove the lids and flatten if possible. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 1993. Many locals enjoy holidays A warm autumn afternoon was the perfect setting for a golden wedding anniversary celebration in Beigrave, Sunday. Ida and Alvin Procter were joined by family and friends on Oct. 3 at the WI Hall to celebrate 50 years of marriage. Ida Kelly was born in Wingham to the late John and Elizabeth Kelly. Alvin Procter is the son of the late Miller and Minnie Procter of Wingham. Rev. Lucas officiated at their marriage ceremony on Oct. 2, 1943. The couple was attended by the bride's sister, Louise Collar as maid-of-honour and the groom's brother, Lloyd Procter as the best man. Betty Ferguson acted as flower girl. After a honeymoon in Hamilton, the couple resided on a farm two miles ease of Wingham on Hwy. 86. The Procters have five children: Doug and Debbie Procter, Seaforth; Faye Procter, London; Wayne Procter, Teeswatcr; Don and Kathy Procter, Belgrave and Ken and Lila Procter, RR 4, Brussels. A family dinner was held on Oct. 2 at Tim's Family Restaurant in Blyth. The open house in Beigrave included a social time and sing-a- long. A special feature was two solos by Margaret Kelly who sang at the Procters' wedding. Londesboro people Addie Hunking has returned home from Stratford General Hospital. Mrs. Laura Lyon is presently a patient in Clinton Public Hospital. The best wishes of the community are extended to both these ladies for a speedy recovery. Nine members of Londesboro WI attended the 65th anniversary of Seaforth WI on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 28 at Northside Church. Donald Coultes of Brandon, Manitoba, visited recently with his mother, Mrs. Florence Coultes, and with Clifford Coultes and Bruce and Linda Campbell and family of Beigrave. Mrs. Sybil Straker has just returned from a brief holiday, visiting friends and Jim and Beverly Thurley in Brampton. She travelled to her daughter, Gail's in Toronto where she spent several days. While there they went to Scarborough for an afternoon visiting with Gail's grandfather Lloyd Aylestock and his wife Vi and also her aunt and uncle Priscilla and Colin Darrell. From Toronto Mrs. Straker visited her cousin Lil and Jack Austin and their grandson Jason, 100 gather to celebrate 70th birthday Charlie Procter celebrated his 70th birthday at an open house which was held at their home on Saturday, Oct. 2. Over 100 relatives, neighbours and friends gathered to extend their congratulations and best wishes. Mr. Procter received phone calls from Scotland. A surprise visit from the Brussels Legion Pipe Band, who played several numbers, was much enjoyed by everyone. Mr. Procter's family arranged to have Harold Ballard's limousine pick up Grace and Charlie and his mother Alice Procter to take them out to dinner with their family. who all live in Mississauga. She remarked that the weather was great. Mrs. Mabel Wheeler, accom- panied by Mrs. Laura Johnston, visited with Mr. and Mrs. R. Smith and boys of Sudbury and Rev. Peter and Mrs. Nancy Tucker of Elliot Lake for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. John McIntosh and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yuill returned Sunday, Oct. 3, from a four-day bus tour to Madison, Wisconsin, where they attended the World Dairy Expo. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yuill spent the past two weeks in the St. Thomas area where they visited with her granddaughter, Pamela and Abby Lichtenberger, while their parents holidayed in the Sault Ste. Marie area. Congratulations to the Beigrave Midgets on winning the WOAA Major Midget Fastball Champion- ship. On Sunday, Mrs. Larry Mayberry of Londesboro visited with her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Procter and attended the Trinity Anglican Church Harvest Thanksgiving at Belgrave. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Procter who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 2. Mr. and Mrs. Clare Van Camp visited last week for a few days with their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Ansley of Thessalon. They also called on Rev. Peter and Nancy Tucker of Elliot Lake.
