The 92nd District Annual will be
hosted by the Gorrie Branch on
May 10. The theme will be
"Today's Families are Tomorrow's
Future". Members who wish to
design a Banner for the District are
reminded to have their design ready
to be judged at District Annual. A
committee will be formed to look
after the making of the final
product to then be used as Huron
East District's official banner.
Huron East District members
now have their travelling mugs
with the 100th anniversary logo on,
for sale at $5 each_
Board Director for Subdivision
11, Marjory Humphries gave her
report from August. Marjory' told
the district directors that the Park
House is a sure thing and that eny
donations of Loonies towards the
project are strictly volunteer. A
new name is needed for the House
and suggestions may be given at
Area Convention.
The Home and Country
readership survey on the back page
of the fall issue of Home and
Country is to be answered and
returned by Oct. 31.
Rules for the Song Competition
are to be available by February.
Pictures are still required for the
coffee table book, from 1900-1960
of kitchens, bathrooms, etc. They
are to be sent to Margaret Zoeller
of the Centennial Committee.
Marjory reminded the members to
be an "Organization of persons
rather than branches".
The next District Director's
meetirg is scheduled for Jan. 17 at
the home of the president in
Listowel.
