The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Ivan Dambrowitz. The bride is the daughter of Dave and Alice Marks of RR 4, Brussels and the groom is the son of Bill and Gert Kellington of Brussels. The bride was attended by her sister, Sandra Marks of Brussels. Bridesmaids were Susan Hendsbee of Waterford, sister of the bride, Nancy Henry of Bluevale, Karen Knight of Walton, Patty Urhig of Ethel, and Tara Pipe of Brussels, all friends of the bride and groom. The best man was Paul Machan of Brussels, friend of the bride and groom. Ushering the guests were Kevin Wheeler of Kitchener, Graham Harper of Barrie, Verne Bridge, Murray Pipe and Brian TenPas of Brussels, all friends of the bride and groom. A friend of the Marks family, Mary Aitchison, was flowergirl and Brandon Kellington, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer. Following the wedding, guests honoured the bridal couple at a reception held at the BM&G Community Centre, Brussels. After a relaxing honeymoon at Cove Haven Pocono Resort in Pennsylvania, Kevin and Rose Kellington now reside in Brussels. The Rev. Norman Penrose offici- ated, assisted by sign language interpreters, Diane Magee and Paulette Baum for the hearing impaired, and Mrs. Reta Fleming accompanied on the organ. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a replica wedding gown from the 1920's era, made of ivory Rachelle Lace and appliqued Venice Lace with front pearl drapings and a detachable train. She wore a fingertip veil with a headpiece of satin roses and pearl highlights, and carried a cascade of pink roses and carnations. Matron of honour was Mrs. Peggy Harris, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Debbie Bagnato and Miss Cheryl Hendershott, friends of the bride. They were dressed in identical two piece suits of royal blue rose jacquard and carried nosegays of roses and baby's breath. The flower girl, Miss Sinead Cox, niece of the groom, wore an ivory pinafore style dress of Rachelle Lace and Venice Lace with pearl draping. She carried a basket of ross and carnations. Best man was Joseph Quick, friend of the groom, and groomsmen were Mike VanKoot, friend of the groom and Andrew Ives, brother of the groom. All were handsomely dressed in black tuxedo tails, including the ring bearer, Jeffery Harris, nephew of the bride. Ushers for the ceremony were David Screpnek, friend of the groom, Keith Harris, brother-in-law of the bride, and Larry Sturdy, brother-in-law of the groom. Master of Ceremonies, Laurie Cox, brother-in-law of the groom, welcomed the bridal party and guests at the Haldimand Agricultural Centre for a wedding dance. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lindsay shared their picturesque landscape. Mr. Milford Hartwick, chauffeured the wedding couple to the Lindsays' home, followed by memorable pictures with one of his antique cars, a 1930 Ford Model A Roadster. Prior to her marriage, the bride was honoured with showers given by Miss Cheryl Hendershott, Mrs. Peggy Harris, Mrs. Judy Sturdy and Mrs. Sharon Cox. Following a Caribbean cruise honeymoon, the couple is residing in London, Ontario. B. Brown leads worship Pastor Tom preached from Acts 10:9-16 on Sunday, Sept. 19 at Brussels Mennonite Fellowship, on the topic, "A Question of Mission". Bev Brown was worship leader, and Lucy Hesse and Kathy Procter were in charge of the congregational singing. Joy-Ellen Greenwood provided special music on the flute, accompanied by her mother, Nancy Elliot-Greenwood on the piano. There was a commissioning service for Lena Siegers who is entering the Mission Field with the Peacemakers Team for a three year commitment. On Sunday evening hymn-sing was held at the church during which Lena gave more details on her upcoming venture. A social time followed as a farewell for Lena. The elders will meet on Monday evening.
