Jack Tolmey conducted the service at Blyth United Church and Donna Walsh was the pianist. Greeters were Bea Chambers and Dorothy Scott. Ushers were Bill Howson, Julie Howson, Rick and Ann Elliott. Nancy Wasson was in charge of the Nursery and Candice Howson led the Junior Congregation. Rev. Tolmey opened the service with the Call to Worship, Psalm 126:1-3, followed by Prayer of Approach and Prayer of Confession in unison; Silent Confession and Assurance of Forgiveness. Hymn "Pour Out Thy Spirit" was sung. Responsive reading was Exodus 14:19-31 and Matthew 18:21-25, from which Rev. Tolmey based his sermon "Obedience: Active and Passive". "Sweet Hour of Prayer" was sung by the choir. The congregation then sang "All the Way My Saviour Leads Me". A dramatic presentation relating to world missions amongst the native people from the late 1800s until today, with Bonnie and 011ie as the performers and Susan as narrator, was enjoyed by all. The worship service concluded with a challenge for U.C.W. members today, when we hear the call, Whom shall I send and who will go? we will answer, Here I am! Send Me. Susan Howson presided over the business portion of the meeting.
