Sales at Brussels Livestock for
the week ending Sept. 3 were: fed
cattle, 881; cows and bulls, 191;
veal calves, 142; sheep and goats,
135; stockers, 1,050; and pigs, light
run.
Fed steers and heifers traded on a
fully steady market at Brussels
Livestock with cows selling $1 to
$2 higher.
There were 483 steers on offer
selling from $96 to $100 to a high
of $109.25. Six steers consigned by
Jim Howatt, Londesborough,
averaging 1302 lbs. sold for an
average of $102.66 to the high of
$109.25. A Charolais steer
consigned by Mac Inglis, Clifford,
weighing 1040 lbs. sold for $101.
Eleven steers consigned by Tony
Aprida, Orangeville, averaging
1162 lbs. sold for an average of
$99.10, with sales to $100.50.
